Esta es una de esas publicaciones que desde la primera frase ya va dibujando una enorme sonrisa en mi rostro, al ver a dos personas maravillosas legalizar una gran unión que ya venían tejiendo desde hace muchos años. Pedro y Mercedes, dos amigos muy queridos y por quienes hoy siento una bonita emoción y también una profunda admiración, y vaya que si hay momentos especiales en la vida, obviamente este debe ser uno de esos que solemos etiquetar como únicos para presenciar y compartir. Nunca es tarde para amar y hacer las cosas como se deben, y así es como cobra vida un día lleno de emociones y sorpresas.
This is one of those posts that brings a huge smile to my face from the very first sentence, seeing two wonderful people legalize a great union that they had been building for many years. Pedro and Mercedes, two dear friends for whom I feel great affection and deep admiration today. And if there are special moments in life, this is obviously one of those that we tend to label as unique to witness and share. It's never too late to love and do things the right way, and that's how a day full of emotions and surprises comes to life.
Sabía que ambos ya venían pensando hacer algo que quizás en el pasado lo vieron como algo innecesario. Pero mi grata sorpresa fue recibir un mensaje de Pedro con la noticia de que ya estaban decididos a casarse con fecha y todo. ¡No lo podía creer! Y confieso que mientras leía el mensaje sentía una alegría de esas que no sabes disimular. Enseguida le respondí y le dije que contaran con mi apoyo y mi presencia en ese día, y así fue como me hice participe de este evento de suma importancia para sus vidas. Entre risas, nervios y bromas esperamos un rato en las afueras del registro civil, hasta que por fin pudimos entrar para llevar a cabo la ceremonia relacionada con el matrimonio.
Esta experiencia es muy especial porque tanto Pedro como Mercedes por mucho tiempo desearon formalizar su unión, pero siempre había un obstáculo, una molestia o una mala situación que los desanimaba y les hacía postergar dicha celebración. Por momentos hasta decidieron rendirse y seguir de manera normal, aunque en sus corazones guardaban ese deseo de poder casarse. ¡Al fin lo lograron! Y por eso estamos muy felices con ellos. Estuvimos prácticamente toda la mañana en esa diligencia, pero fue un tiempo maravilloso que supimos apreciar. Porque las personas no se casan todos los días, así que cualquier gesto o espera lo merece y lo amerita sin molestia ni prisa.
I knew that both of them had been thinking about doing something that they might have seen as unnecessary in the past. But I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message from Pedro with the news that they had decided to get married, with a date and everything. I couldn't believe it! And I confess that as I read the message, I felt a joy that I couldn't hide. I replied immediately and told them they could count on my support and my presence on that day, and that's how I became part of this event of such importance in their lives. Amid laughter, nerves, and jokes, we waited for a while outside the civil registry office until we were finally able to enter to carry out the marriage ceremony.
This experience is very special because both Pedro and Mercedes had long wanted to formalize their union, but there was always an obstacle, a nuisance, or a bad situation that discouraged them and made them postpone the celebration. At times, they even decided to give up and continue as normal, although in their hearts they still held on to the desire to get married. Finally, they did it! And that's why we're so happy for them. We spent practically the entire morning on this errand, but it was a wonderful time that we truly appreciated. Because people don't get married every day, so any gesture or wait is worth it and deserves to be done without hassle or haste.
Lo de las flores fue un pequeño detalle que dió paso a un gran momento, y verlos a los dos como novios enamorados y emocionados fue algo muy bonito. Algo que también les gustó fue la compañía que tuvieron y que no esperaban para este día, y por eso agradecieron mucho a que todos los presentes estuviéramos allí con ellos como una verdadera familia. No fue un momento lleno de lujos y detalles, ya que lo más importante era verlos felices cumpliendo con eso que parecía imposible y que ahora es una hermosa realidad. Ambos estaban muy contentos, y ver esa felicidad en sus rostros también me conmovió de manera especial.
Estoy seguro que Pedro y Mercedes seguirán compartiendo ese amor que por tanto tiempo los ha mantenido unidos. Oficialmente ya están casados, y cumplir esa meta pendiente de seguro que les dará más alegría de la que ya venían disfrutando desde hace mucho tiempo. Feliz y orgulloso se queda corto para definir lo que siento al verlos hoy a los dos tan contentos y con un sentimiento pleno por el cual deseamos que sigan compartiendo sus vidas. Estoy seguro que aún tienen mucho para vivir y disfrutar el uno con el otro, y mi más grande y sincero deseo es que sigan queriéndose de la misma forma como lo han venido haciendo. ¡Qué vivan los recién casados!
The flowers were a small detail that led to a big moment, and seeing them both as a couple in love and excited was very beautiful. Something else they liked was the company they had, which they hadn't expected on this day, and that's why they were very grateful to all of us who were there with them as a true family. It wasn't a moment full of luxuries and details, as the most important thing was to see them happy, achieving what seemed impossible and is now a beautiful reality. They were both very happy, and seeing that happiness on their faces also moved me in a special way.
I am sure that Pedro and Mercedes will continue to share the love that has kept them together for so long. They are now officially married, and achieving this long-awaited goal will surely bring them even more joy than they have already been enjoying for a long time. Happy and proud doesn't even begin to describe how I feel seeing them both so happy today and with a sense of fulfillment that we hope will continue as they share their lives together. I am sure they still have much to experience and enjoy with each other, and my greatest and most sincere wish is that they continue to love each other as they have been doing.
