Yesterday I found this little friend in my yard. It was sitting motionless by a tree. I immediately picked it up and gave it water. I think this bird is a coot and is not fully grown yet. Most likely it fell from the nest and can't fly yet .I tried to put it back where I found it - under the tree. I was hoping his parents would see him and help him. They saw him, but I think they can't help him, he's not that small anymore and they can't take him because he's heavy. For now, I'll give him water and food and hope he survives.
