Hello, #featheredfriends, I hope you had a better day than this Black-Capped Chickadee.
I know that SMaP is all about photos of birds and that we all try to capture a photo that is worthy of entering this wonderful contest hosted by @nelinoeva. This round is all about a single bird, and that is what I have captured in this post. The pictures here are not of the quality that I usually try to present to the community, rather it's more about a situation that I observed while chilling out on our front porch.
Hours before taking the pictures you'll see in this blog, I noticed a chickadee checking itself out in the side-view mirror of my truck. At first, I thought this situation was somewhat humorous, and just went about my business.
A few hours later, after dinner, @farm-mom and I went back outside to enjoy the warmer weather.
While sitting on the porch I noticed that this little fellow was still at it, landing on the side of the truck and flying into the mirror. The situation lost its humor and I was concerned that the bird's repetitive actions would end badly. Many a bird has flown into the windows of our home and broken their neck.
