RE: Birds In Trees

I'm trying not to use the aircon too much, had an enormous water & electricity bill for December, more than double! We were busier than normal, but also with families coming, it's more cooking showering, ironing, aircon on the coldest setting blowing on high. I have to keep reminding some guests to close windows when they have it on, and to turn it off when they go out! So annoying, but, fortunately, that's mostly when it's holiday guests. I take the aircon remotes away in winter ever since seeing a Google review - 'their aircons are so nice and warm' - well, I was furious, putting it on heat!!! Our winters really don't warrant heaters!
Take it easy Joan <3

With these killer days one uses the aircon only in areas requiring it, most probably a freak out when bill arrives, then one has to survive the heat, not so? Our aircon guy said to switch all fans off, put to 22C it takes care of the area, seal off as much as possible. So far excellent advice to make it livable!

Water and electricity meter reading 25th monthly, without either often one never knows where we stand. Never used the heating system on the old Daiken we in lounge had either. Never owning a swimming pool helps. Winter does not require one, that is time for servicing as it works out cheaper. 🤣

I wish I could stop the guests from playing around with the settings, they often mess it up. I'd love it if there was a way to set it so they can't change it!
We only run our pool pump for 2 hours a day, some people leave theirs on for hours!

Always a problem with each person thinking they set it better than the last. 🙃 Happiest moment of my sister's life was ridding herself of the house with pool expenses, BnB pool serves a slightly different purpose.
