I miss the more colorful birds we had in the Midwest, like those goldfinches and red winged blackbirds. Other than the mountain bluebird, they trend toward drab browns here.

Yeah we have all the primary colors here, bluejays, cardinals, goldfinches and we even have some invasive monk parakeets that are green that nest on telephone poles around here. The brown ones have nice songs like the hermit thrush here.
