Hello feathered friend.
A couple of months ago I visited a nature reserve that is the habitat of hundreds of flamingo's.
When I drove up to the park I already saw some of them flying in the air around the pond.
Fuente de Piedra Lagoon
This lagoon is in the south of Spain near the city of Malaga. Perfect for a day trip if you are in Malaga and interested in birds. Maybe you can take some nice hikes here but I don't really know. I just spend some time with the birds.
Some of them came relatively really close to the trail and I could make very nice pictures of them. But a minimum of 200mm lens on your camera is a must here.
When I drove up the area I already so many flamingo's fly around the area and that was my goal for today. Try to capture them flying. They look so elegant when they fly around, but I couldn't capture that very good.
These pictures are not good, the birds are not in focus. The colors of the birds are very clear here, so that is better then when they are way up in the sky. But they went so incredible quickly that I couldn't react on time.
Against the blue sky is not that bad to.
And of course the landing. You think that you are on the right spot, them taking another round the pond land behind all kind of trees.
But it was a lot of fun trying to shoot these birds. I learned a lot again. That is word so much than one good picture.
