HEY Y'ALL, farm-mom here...

My entry in #SMaP contest round 205
This little fella was photographed back in the summer of 2021, it was my first sighting of this colorful creature, and he didn't come alone. His wife was right by his side. As the summer air warmed us, these birdies gave us hours of pleasure just observing them. We quickly realized they were in love and the MR. in the family was very protecting of the MRS.
I like that in a man, it feels like a warm blanket tucked over your shoulders on a cool night, comfy. My Mr. does that for me too, makes me feel safe.
Now I wouldn't mind a "cool" night, we haven't had one of those in months. This has been the snowiest and coldest winter since retiring here in the mountains of Upstate New York, but I am still a JERSEY GIRL, at heart.
I do brave it for a little while each day just for the fresh air, but the air is so cold some mornings I have to wear a mask to warm it, so I don't burn my lungs, no kidding it's been really cold up here.
There is relief just around the corner, we leave all the winter beauty behind and head south for the month of March, yeah!!!!
I am so excited to photograph the birds in southwest Florida. Can't wait to put my toes in the warm sand, swim and fish, I've got my rod and reel at the ready.
Hope Y'all have a blessed and peaceful week.
Love Y'all
