I only found out a month ago that herons nest in trees.
Last week I personally watched herons and they perch on tree branches! My brain exploded from what I saw. 😂

        Even though they are so big I guess they don't weigh very much. I've seen eagles attempt to land on a tree branch and have it break out from under them. It does look funny to see big birds perched in trees!
