Greetings friends.
The year 2024 is gaining momentum and is starting to spin our planet faster and faster. 7 days have already flown away. It's Christmas frosts in our region right now, the temperature is around -30 degrees, but I know that in Dubai now the temperature is what happens in my village in the hot summer. The natural conditions of Dubai are completely different than in our region. But even there I saw the usual urban blue pigeons and also met sparrows.
But there were some birds that I did not know.
Collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto). This pigeon cannot be found on our streets. I met these beautiful birds at the entrance to the Dubai Safari Park. They were resting by a small fountain stream. These representatives of the pigeon family are smaller than the blue pigeons I am used to. Her distinctive feature is a black half-ring on the back of her neck.
I liked this bird. She looks more elegant and graceful than our fat city gluttonous pigeon, which people already often call a flying rat.
Pigeons usually fly in huge flocks in our cities, but here I have not seen flocks of birds numbering more than five heads. I understand that this is due to the climate and no one feeds the local birds, as is customary in Russian cities. It's such Russian entertainment to feed the birds.
I mean, I expected to see a lot more birds in Dubai. But it wasn't until early in the morning when I was walking to the beach, that I heard the voices of birds that were sitting in the trees.
But I still managed to hunt birds with my camera!
A beautiful graceful bird! The black half-ring on the neck is clearly visible.
These turtle doves flew away, and we headed to the safari park. What awaits us? A new adventure!
