Love the kingfisher, a wondrous genus. Never seen brown ones.

Quite a successful species, I saw them in Kerala, plenty, and, in Songkhla, Thailand, there are many. Good to see some critters feel fine despite the environmental bacchanalia caused by the bald apes.

Curious creatures. I saw one in Bangkok, a huge hairy one behind gates in someone's yard in the middle of the metropolis. Despite hugeness and porkness, the guy pretty soon proved to be as nice as any other pet - he wanted to meet me as a fren - probably, he felt lonely and bored alone, and then I appeared before him... he was sniffing me through the gate and watching my eyes, enjoying my company as another living being.
