It might have been a bust for you but the history lesson and the horror of the confined and hostile spaces hits home for us. You mention 13th century as the historical branding and that just breaks our brains here in North America where we can't even compare it to anything we would have known over here.

You must have your shots up to date and have developed immunity to fear of those big beams that look to be about to collapse!

LOL.. yes we kind of take it for granted, all the history. Whenever I meet Americans / Canadians.., they are in awe of all this stuff right next to me!

Big beams collapsing.., normal fare really. It's best not to stand on them especially when moss ridden like these ones. They made beams to last back then, so even collapsing ones.., can still be ok.
