RE: Tales of the Urban Explorer: £25,000 for Sale?

That's what we would call a 'doer-upper' :) It makes me smile to see one of those old free-standing kitchen storage units as we had one in our old cottage before we did it up. I wonder how easy it is to get planning to build something new when you buy a place like this. There may well be limits on the size. Probably cheaper than renovating when it's that far gone.

From what I hear, planning permission is easier than it was in the 90's, but they tend to make it hard work. This house was isolated and hardly what you call near other homes, so unless it's grade listed (you never do know), it could be demolished and started again.

The buyers it seems have other plans.

If Labour want to build thousands of new homes they should encourage it, but it ought to go to locals rather than speculators.
