Blimey, that explains why we never had a fridge until late on - and probably on instalments. Glad you gave the comparators, I was thinking already that 35 guineas sounded very expensive.

cheers @shanibeer glad my mansplaining helped LOL, I know I remember my parents got our first fridge only in the mid 1960's and it was very small too, but at least we then had nice cold milk on cornflakes
