I hated when the smurfs came along and ruined saturday morning cartoons, but I was out of the house soon after, so that part of life simply died, for me.
I still remember watching 3 stooges before skool, and saturday night wrestling on ktvt before the corporation swallowed all the regionals.
Growing up in North Carolina regional wrestling was huge here. Even as kids we knew it wasn't real, but it ws real cool to watch the Road Warriors et. al
One of my uncles actually looked a big like Dr. Death Steve Williams when he was younger, though my uncle probably broader.
That's another wave of nostaliga, one of wrestling nerd friends even kept a notebook where he mades rankings and list of wrestlers :)
