Like you said, curiosity pushes us to explore, learn and grow in so many ways that helps us later in life. Sometimes, I wonder how some people survive without being curious about things. Yes, there is a point when you have to know and accept that some things are better left unknown than working tirelessly to find out something that will probably make your life miserable.
In the case of your dad, it reminds me of my dad too but somehow, that man has always been lucky not to get into any trouble but then, my dad can be really curious when things are going on around him especially in the compound. Funny enough, he will always ask us not to come out but he will go there to see what’s happening.
I only like a curious person when he or she is curious about things that will improve their lives in a positive way and also help then gain more knowledge about things that will help them be a better person. I know of some people that I can get anything I want from them because of how curious they are about things that doesn’t concern them. Those are people we call them busybodies aka aproko.
I won’t lie, I laughed while reading what happened to your dad. I’m very sure that henceforth he would always make sure to mind his business except he is called to intervene.
