Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Oh and the "HollyWood Van" came through! Heck that was faster than I thought it would be!

I wrote something about this vehicle but it was in a different community! Feel free to check this post out! Nothing Hollywood About This Van!

Well all that matters now is that they came through! I was under the impression that this build was going to chill in the corner for a couple of months! Laughs!

However, they did contact the company who previously worked on it and they sent an exchange unit, so we just pocket the labour money it took to remove and replace the transmission.
On top of that we told them to get a new clutch and they also had a cruise control problem which sorted itself out when the right ratio transmission was fitted into it!

Setting It Up!

Now there's a lot that can be said over clutches but let's pull back to the wrong ratio on the transmission, they had this huge fight, or somewhat of a fight just to prove us wrong. At first they didn't want to fit a new clutch because why? They already did that when they had the transmission rebuilt, so why now again!

Well for starters, you didn't have the right ratio and I wonder where the slip will happen when it happens, on the clutch of-course and perhaps every now and then a skid of a wheel but if not the clutch is the place to look!

Glad they agreed on a new one at the end, the hard bastards!

A Thing Of Beauty!

I still can't get over the beauty of a freshly installed clutch, okay but seriously I know this might not be something for a great deal of people out there! BUT in the three almost four years of me doing what I do I still find this attractive in some weird way!

Laughs!

Yeah I know it's just a piece of metal hey! A round piece of metal!

We Should Do The Same.

These guys really put some effort into making the transmission presentable, they really did!

It's not just the classic silver everyone puts on, no this is more a metallic gun metal type of paint, I wonder how long it will last before it peels off!

Well after we assembled everything we had a minor clutch bleeding problem. Why do we always get those? It's so frikkin odd! Not to mention how embarrassing it is to say you can't get it bled through!
In all honesty I'm not too sure what I did do for it to gain hydraulic pressure at the end of the day but it's doing what it is supposed to do now and that is all that counts!

Let's hope not to get such a job in again!

Take note this is not a how to guide, merely myself talking about the work I do and my thoughts around certain things.

To everyone who made it this far into my post Thank you for the read and the support.
