Recently the automatic aveo was presenting a small failure that day by day was accentuating. There were times when stepping on the accelerator the car stayed a few seconds and suddenly started and then began to affect the changes in the gearbox.

I took it to check the injectors because I thought that was the cause, but the mechanic told me that it was not because of the injectors but that I had to change the throttle body part because the flap was deficient.

I went where they sell imported engines to look for it and I got one but fortunately it did not fit the car and that is why I did not buy it.

I say fortunately because weeks later I took the car to a mechanic who knows automotive electricity and as soon as he checked it he told me that the TPS sensor was deficient, without even having scanned the car. The test he did was to remove and put the sensor cable and the car was working better.

He told me that he was going to get this sensor at various prices but that I should look for the original or another one that was not the cheapest because they are Chinese and are not suitable for automatic cars.

Certainly in the market they are available in 8$, 40$. 50$ and the original at 85$, but I was recommended the 50$ and that was the one I bought.

Installation is simple. It is located on the throttle body held in place by a screw.

I also took the opportunity to tell the mechanic to put the gasket on the engine downpipe that goes to the exhaust pipe because it was leaking.

When they disassembled it, they realized that it had no gasket. Luckily I had a gasket in storage and they put it in.

It is amazing that something so small can cause such a serious failure in the car. This sensor controls the acceleration and works with the gearbox.

Reemplazo de Sensor TPS de mi aveo automático

Saludos estimados amigos de hive y de la comunidad de @hivemotors, espero estén disfrutando de un excelente martes.

Recientemente el aveo automático venía presentando una pequeña falla que día a día se fue acentuando. Había momentos en que al pisar el acelerador el carro se quedaba unos segundos y de repente arrancaba y luego comenzó a afectar los cambios en la caja de velocidades.

Lo llevé a revisar los inyectores porque pensé que esa era la causa, pero el mecánico me dijo que no era por los inyectores sino que debía cambiar la pieza de cuerpo de aceleración porque la chapaleta estaba deficiente.

Fui donde venden los motores importados a buscarla y conseguí una pero afortunadamente no le sirvió al carro y por eso no la compré.

Digo afortunadamente porque semanas después le llevé el carro a un mecánico que sabe de electricidad automotriz y apenas lo revisó me dijo que el sensor TPS estaba deficiente, sin siquiera haber escaneado el carro. La prueba que hizo fue quitar y poner el cable del sensor y el carro mejoraba su funcionamiento.

Me indicó que iba a conseguir este sensor en varios precios pero que debía buscar el original u otro que no fuese el más barato porque son chinos y no sirven para los carros automáticos.

Ciertamente en el mercado se consiguen en 8$, 40$. 50$ y el original en 85$, pero me recomendaron el de 50 y ese fue el que compré.

La instalación es sencilla. Esta ubicado en el cuerpo de aceleración sostenido por un tornillo.

Aproveché también para decirle al mecánico que le colocara la empacadura del bajante del motor que va al tubo de escape porque estaba fugando.

Cuando lo desarmaron se dieron cuenta que no tenía ninguna empacadura. Por suerte tenía una empacadura guardada y se la colocaron.

Es impresionante que algo tan pequeño ocasione una falla tan seria en el carro. Este sensor controla la aceleración y trabaja con la caja de velocidades.
