That's really rough. Is the entire season going to be this way? I hope not. I hear you about the catcher, a really overlooked but seriously important part of the game. So was the other team stealing 2nd like every single time they got on base?
Yes, it was pretty horrible and I don't have much hope that they are going to get better. Especially at this level. Travel teams are usually the kids who care a bit more, so it's serious stuff. They were not only conceding 2nd base, the kids were stealing home on wild pitches because the catcher couldn't hold onto the ball!
