A dramatic football game never to be forgotten!

Heysel

It is one of the darkest pages on Belgian sports history or just plain history!
Exactly 40 years ago, the European Champions Cup was held in the Heysel stadium in Brussels, between Juventus Torino and Liverpool FC.

Hooligans

The police had miscalculated the number of people from Belgium that wanted to attend the game.

These people gave their life while watching football and getting attacked by drunk Liverpool fans/hooligans. But the safety in stadiums was just horrible those days!

This may never be forgotten, especially not the 39 people that lost their life that night 40 years ago!

Sincerely,

What happened at Heysel Stadium is a tragic reminder that sports should unite, not divide and the lives of 39 innocent people should never be forgotten.

That event changed the history of football. Before, everything was experienced with more passion than intelligence.

Thousands of people collapsed the stands, causing that catastrophe. It's always necessary to remember the mistakes of the past, so as not to repeat them. Greetings!
