Well, I think animals are never the bad guys. Even female mosquitoes that pierce skin to blood-feed aren't evil—they just need the protein to develop their eggs.

Self-defense against them is perfectly legitimate, of course.

Anyway, nice to read that you spared this harmless species. And respect for teaching your son to understand nature, not just fear it.

        Yes, I agree that animals are not evil.
        And that we should live with nature, not against it.
        My son is six years old and a little explorer, so we will try to teach him everything "good" that we know.
