I found a beetle with very beautiful colors.

Encontré un escarabajo con colores muy bonitos.
I was getting ready to clean the floor when something came out from among the rags that was moving very fast, but it gave off an unusual shine.
Estaba preparándome para limpiar el piso y salió entre los trapos algo que se movía muy rápido, pero dejaba ver un brillo inusual.
I followed it with my eyes to photograph it, but it was walking away from me.
Lo seguí con la vista para fotografiarlo pero caminaba alejándose de mí.
It lay still on the grass for a few seconds, perhaps trying to hide.
En el césped se quedó unos segundos quieto quizá intentando ocultarse.
Then I was able to take the only somewhat clear picture of it.
Entonces pude tomar la única foto más o menos clara de él.
I made it climb onto my hand and surprisingly found it harmless. From there it walked to a mat, but every time I tried to take pictures, it went the other way and hid.
Hice que subiera a mi mano y sorprendentemente vi que era inofensivo. De allí caminó a una colchoneta pero, cada vez que intentaba tomarle fotos, iba hacia el lado contrario y se escondía.
I took the opportunity to record a short video to capture screenshots of it since it was difficult to photograph, then I lost sight of it.
Aproveché de grabar un video corto para obtener sus imágenes por captura de pantalla ya que era difícil de fotografiar, después lo perdí de vista.
Fortunately, with these captures I was able to identify which genus it belongs to.
Afortunadamente con estas capturas logré identificar su género.
This is one of the beetles of the genus Tetracha, also called "Metallic Tiger Beetles",
Se trata de uno de los escarabajos del género Tetracha, también llamados "Escarabajos tigre metálicos".
They are voracious predators of other insect species in both larval and adult stages, have striking colors, and walk at high speed.
Son voraces depredadores de otras especies de insectos tanto en estadio de larva como de adultos, tienen colores llamativos y caminan a gran velocidad.
Some consider it a family, the Cincidelidae (tiger beetles), others place it taxonomically as a subfamily of the family Carabidae or ground beetles, the Cincidelinae.
Algunos lo consideran una familia, la Cincidelidae(escarabajos tigre), otros lo ubican taxonómicamente como subfamilia de la familia Carabidae o escarabajos terrestres, la Cincidelinae.
Try as I might, I could only get blurry pictures, but in some you can see the iridescent colors on its body. Seeing it seemed like a valuable opportunity since it's such a fast and elusive insect, making it difficult to observe in detail.
Por más que lo intenté solo pude obtener imágenes borrosas, pero en algunas se pueden apreciar los colores tornasol en su cuerpo. Verlo me pareció una oportunidad valiosa ya que es un insecto muy rápido y huidizo para apreciar en detalle.
