Mi hermano nació cuando yo tenía casi cuatro años. Era blanquito y rubio, parecía una pelota y yo adoraba jugar con él, era mi "juguete" preferido. Mi mamá lo colocaba en la cama, en medio de nosotras dos y le hacíamos cosquillas. Aunque tengo más hermanos, Miguel Ángel es el único hermano de madre y padre y con quien me crié y viví.

Su cumpleaños número uno fue una gran fiestas con un cake inmenso, ya vivíamos en La Habana pero fuimos a celebrarlo a Santiago de Cuba porque allá estaban todas nuestras familias y amigos.
His first birthday was a huge party with an enormous cake.We were already living in Havana, but we went to celebrate it in Santiago de Cuba because all of our family and friends were there.
De pequeños veíamos juntos los dibujos animados, habían algunos que nos gustaban tanto que los repetíamos mucho. Mi mamá los tenía grabados en un disco y los ponía en un DVD. "Las aventuras de Zipe y Zape" y el otro era "Las aventuras del hermano conejos". Que manera de reírnos con ellos, nos los sabíamos de memoria.
When we were little,we watched cartoons together. There were some we liked so much that we would watch them over and over. My mom had them recorded on a disc and would play them on a DVD. "The Adventures of Zipe and Zape" and the other one was "The Adventures of Brother Rabbit." How we laughed with them! We had them memorized.
Mi hernano era mi compañero de juegos y travesuras. A pesar de haberse criado entre mujeres, mi hermano es rudo y varonil. Desde chiquito tuvo bien definida su preferencia sexual, las mujeres. Pronto, en cuanto se gradue, le toca pasar el Servicio Militar Obligatorio por dos años. Hace poco se peló bien bajito, dice que para ir adaptándose a la idea porque en cuanto entre al Servicio lo van a pelar al 1. Aquí está en casa de mi mamá junto a su novia.

Dairon se llamaba el vecinito y sirmpre estaba metido en mi casa o Papuchi en la de él. En varias ocasiones mi hermano regresaba llorando porque Dairon le había pegado. Mi mamá se molestaba y le decía: Que bueno eres mijo, ese niño es una pluma, si lo soplas se cae.

Pero mi hermano no es un joven problemático ni conflictivo. Es un joven rebelde pero de buenos sentimientos. Ya tiene 18 años, es mayor de edad y como joven de su tiempo, a él también le gustan los tatuajes. En el antebrazo izquierdo se tatuó el nombre de mi mamá y en el derecho el nombre mío. En el pecho tiene el nombre de mi abuela materna y más arriba el años de nacimiento de nuestra madre.
He is a rebellious young man but with good feelings.He is already 18 years old, he's of legal age, and like any young person of his time, he also likes tattoos. On his left forearm,he got my mom's name tattooed, and on the right one, my name. On his chest, he has our maternal grandmother's name, and higher up, our mother's birth year.
El día de mi partida de Cuba, cuando nos despedimos en el aeropuerto, me fui sabiendo que sin él siempre faltaría un pedazo en mí.
On the day I left Cuba, when we said goodbye at the airport, I left knowing that without him, a piece of me would always be missing.
