While i'm thinking about making fried chicken as part of my plan to make fried chicken burger for mother's day, the very same day, Mommy F mentioned about how good Ginataang Suso is. As I see it, she's craving for it, so the plan for the Fried Chicken for lunch and Fried Chicken Burger was cancelled. Thinking about it, it's been a long time since we last had that dish, and so, it's been decided, we'll have Ginataang Suso for lunch.
I really love ginataang Talong so I told Mom I want to put eggplant in it. She said yes, then she suggested putting squash as well. And if there's Pako, then I can also get one and mix it in our desired dish that day. So it's a healthy version of ginataan, with lot's of vegetables and suso or snails.
So early in the morning, we embark an early journey to find Snail, and because it's Tiangge-an day, it's possible that there's snails and other seafoods that is being sold in the market. And yeah, there really is, we immediately found one and isang takal or one scoop of it using their own cup cost 40 pesos. I think the price is just right, we only bought one cup.

There it is, this snails are the small kind by the way. I feel like I can never eat the big ones. And another thing, we asked the seller if it's tail was already removed and he said yes. I remember when Mom bought it before, the tail is not yet remove so we had to do it ourselves and it's not easy, seriously ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌. And the tail needs to be removes because snail tails contains its digestive system, so you can imagine what's in there, dirt and some other things like parasites too - this is according to google.
And OMG guys, this is alive! Look at them, it's everywhere. After putting it in a basin with water, they started to crawl, lol.

Just so you know guys, i'm not the one who cook this but Mommy D. I just help with the preparation by peeling and cutting all the ingredients needed. I am watching her cool so that the next time, I can also make it myself, ehe
So here are the main ingredients for this recipe: the cup of snails, eggplants, one tie of fiddlehead ferns, half kilo of squash, green long chili and the coconut milk. As for the aromatics, we'll need garlic, onion and ginger. For the seasoning, we'll need salt, magic sarap and pepper.

We'll cut the veggies next, you can cut them however you want, as for me I cut them into this sizes.

And it's cooking time! First thing Mommy D did was cook the snails with onions, ginger, garlic, long green chili, salt, and coconut milk, I think she used five tablespoon coconut milk on it. She cooked it for like 2 to 3 minutes and transfered it into an empty bowl.
She then put the squash and eggplant next and put half cup of water in it. We'll just cook it for a minutes or until the veggies soften. It won't take a lot of time, 8 to 10 minutes is all we need or it depends too on the kind of veggies your cooking. We'll put the coconut milk when the veggies is about to be cook.

Let it boil, then put the Pako, seasons it, you can adjust the taste base on your preference. Mommy D used Magic Sarap here and salt. We'll put the snails lastly, let it cook for another minutes and done! Make sure to taste it <( ̄︶ ̄)↗.

So here's our Creamy Ginataang Suso with Squash, Eggplants and Pako. Yum, yum!
We had an enjoyable lunch ♪ \(^ω^\ )
