I love to put a not so ripe Banana in the Adobo dish that I prepared, particularly "saging na saba." The first time I saw Mommy D mixing banana in her Adobo, I find it really weird. Mom loves to experiment and I sometimes find her recipe weird and sometimes disgusting too, but that's because I just can't imagine the ingredients she mix in her recipe. ƪ(‾.‾“)┐
Recently she made a soupy pasta dish but without milk, we usually put milk in it to make "Sopas," but on that recipe of hers, aside from not putting milk in it, she also mix sponge gourd in it. And I was like, "Mom, what're you doinggggg?" I really want to tell her that, but I just zip my mouth (≧▽≦). My thought is already messy, thinking that there's no way, it will taste okay.
Buy surprise! It actually taste good even without milk. Haha. And yeah, I ate it too. Not much though and I eat more the sponge gourd and its soup. Yeah, sometimes Mommy D make a good dish by her experimentation but not all the time. And with her recipe, I sometimes copy it too. Good dish need to be eaten not just once or twice but A LOT OF TIMES! Right? (✿^‿^)
Anyways, let me share this one recipe I copied to Mommy D. It's not the weird one, and this one taste really good.

So here's the Ingredients:
- Half Kilo Chicken Meat
- One piece of Potato
- One piece of Carrot
- Four pieces of Saging na Saba
- Three spoon Banana Ketchup
- Onion and Garlic
- Salt and Pepper
- Chicken Cubes
- Cups of Water

Next is peeling and cutting all the ingredients, from onions, garlic, banana, carrot and potato. We'll wash it of course after that. Ah, before doing all this, I put salt and pepper in the chicken meat.

It's cooking time, I just sauteed the onion and garlic and put the chicken meat next.

And after that I cook the chicken meat for 1 minute and then put the Banana Ketchup next. I actually want to fry first the chicken until it turns brown but then after putting it, it began to produce water and so I didn't wait for it and just mix the banana ketchup.

I just mix the ketchup with the chicken until it is fully coated in red. I used two cups of water and simmer it for 28 minutes.

When the chicken meat is already tender, we'll add the vegetable and the banana altogether. The veggies don't take that much time to be cook. Carrot is more delicious when half cooked. Anyways, cook it until everything become soft.

And tadaaaan! All done! Now we have a chicken dish that we can enjoy with the family whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. As for us, we had it until dinner. Ehe. And the Banana is really just the best! It really goes well in this kind of recipe.

And here's my lunch, less rice but more vegetable and meat. Just right and how I like it. bon appetit (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
