Pasta omelet with oats (Eng/Esp)

We're back with another episode of Cooking with @ramisey. This time, I made a different breakfast. I've made it before, but this time I added a new ingredient. Join me as I reveal this new recipe, a short pasta omelet with a unique twist: rolled oats.

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of cooked short pasta
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 grams of rolled oats
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated cheese
  • Oil

Preparation:

I had some short pasta left over from lunch the day before, so I took it out of the refrigerator half an hour before reheating it to allow it to come to room temperature. I did the same with the eggs because the temperature of the ingredients affects the consistency of the dish.

I separated the eggs and added them to the pasta, beating them well until they were fully incorporated. Then I added the oat flakes, which gave it a crunchy texture. A pinch of salt would accentuate the new flavor, as the pasta already had a salty and buttery taste.

Then I put a frying pan on low heat with a little oil, poured in the mixture, and it made two perfect tortillas, but I preferred to make one thick one. I let it cook for five minutes and, with the help of a plate, I flipped it over, and it was crispy on both sides.

The result was delicious, a complete breakfast to start the morning cheerfully and with plenty of energy.

Preparación:

La pasta corta, dedalitos, me sobró del almuerzo del día anterior, así que la saqué de la nevera media hora antes de volver a calentar para que perdiera el frío. Hice lo mismo con los huevos porque la temperatura de los ingredientes incide en la consistencia de la preparación.

Procedí a separar los huevos y se los agregué a la pasta y batí muy bien hasta integrarlos. Luego añadí las hojuelas de avena, las cuales aportaron una textura crujiente. Un punto de sal acentuaría el nuevo sabor pues la pasta previamente tenía su gusto de sal y mantequilla.

Luego puse un sartén a fuego lento con un poco de aceite, allí vertí la mezcla, perfectamente salían dos tortillas, pero preferí hacer una gruesa. Dejé cocinar por cinco minutos y con ayuda de un plato le di vuelta, quedó crujiente por ambos lados.

El resultado fue delicioso, un desayuno completo para iniciar la mañana alegre y con bastante energía.
