Without any kind of planning, my little one and I every summer we take the job of being milkshake tasters in the surroundings of the city where we live, and this year we even expanded this search in other places, always having positive experiences, although we have pending to make a ranking to determine which of all has been the best for our taste.
During the week, just the day when I decided to get a makeover which I will tell you about in another post, it was time to have lunch on the street, so walking to buy some snacks to give us some time to wait until we got home and eat formally, we found Ultra Burger.
It is a tiny, but quite striking place, which offered a promotion of toast with Milkshake and well, we only resonated with the latter. In fact, when we placed our order, the manager said they were out of toast, and we didn't think much of it as long as they gave us the Milkshake.
My son chose dulce de leche, and although to my ears it seemed to be extremely sweet, when I tasted it, it was delicious without being overly sweet.
While we waited I was able to detail the rest of their offerings, which range from sausage fries, cheddar and bacon fries and fries with nuggets, in cone-shaped to-go presentations.
Obviously they also offer hamburgers and ultra panchos (hot dogs) which were tempting, but after a bad experience we decided not to eat them again unless they were made at home.
When the milkshake was delivered we went to the high tables in front of the restaurant, where it would be nice to have umbrellas for the days when the sun seems to want to cook us, although that day the clouds were generous in keeping the day cloudy and even gave us some raindrops that refreshed this southern summer.
We stayed there for a while, and when the glass was half full, we decided to go to the bus stop, because the way back was long, and although we were still hungry, the milkshake gave us a share of happiness to get home still in a good mood.
Sin ningún tipo de planificación, mi pequeño y yo cada verano nos damos el trabajo de ser catadores de milkshakes en los alrededores de la ciudad donde vivimos, y este año inclusive expandimos esta búsqueda en otros lados, siempre teniendo experiencias positivas, aunque tenemos pendientes hacer un ranking para determinar cual de todas ha sido la mejor para nuestro gusto.
Durante la semana, justo el día cuando decidí hacerme un cambio de look del cual les hablaré en otro post, se nos hizo la hora de almorzar en la calle, por lo que caminando para comprarnos algún snack que nos diera un lapso de espera hasta llegar a la casa y comer formalmente, nos encontramos con Ultra Burguer.
Es un local diminuto, pero bastante llamativo, que ofrecía una promoción de tostado con Milkshake y pues, a nosotros solo nos resonó lo segundo. De hecho, al momento de hacer el pedido, el encargado dice que ya no quedan tostados, y no le dimos tanta importancia siempre y cuando nos dieran la Milkshake.
Mi hijo eligió que fuera de dulce de leche, y aunque a mis oídos parecía ser algo dulce en extremo, al momento de probarla me resultó deliciosa sin exagerar en cuanto al dulce.
Mientras esperábamos pude detallar el resto de su oferta, que va desde las salchipapas, papas con cheddar y bacon y papas acompañadas de nuggets, en presentaciones para llevar en forma de conos.
Obviamente también ofrecen hamburguesas y los ultra panchos (perros calientes) que resultaban tentadores, pero que luego de una mala experiencia decidimos no volver a comer a menos que se hicieran en casa.
Al entregarnos la milkshake nos fuimos a las mesitas altas dispuestas frente al local, en las cuales vendría bien tener también sombrillas para los días cuando el sol pareciera que quiere cocinarnos, aunque ese día las nubes fueron generosas en mantener el día nublado y regalarnos inclusive algunas gotas de lluvia que refrescaron bastante este verano sureño.
Nos quedamos solo un rato ahí, ya cuando el vaso estaba por la mitad, decidimos irnos hasta la parada, pues el camino de vuelta era largo, y aunque seguíamos con hambre, la milkshake nos dio una cuota de felicidad para llegar a casa conservando todavía el buen humor.
