Today i would like to share the recipe of Masala Khichdi, it made up of soaked Rice & Dal with Indian spices. It is healthy and tasty when when served with a hint of pickle or creamy yogurt. It is one pot Recipe, it is comfort food in Indians and are usually made for day-to-day purposes, there are many ways of Cooking it. 'm made simply and with less ingredients. Try this healthy khichdi 'm sure you gonna love it.

Ingredients 📃
• 1 Cup Rice.
• 1/2 Toor Daal.
• 1/2 Moong Daal.
• 1 tbsp of Ghee.
• 1/2 of Cumin seeds.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• 1 tbsp of Turmeric.
• 1 chopped Onion.
• 1 chopped Tomato.
• 1 chopped Carrot.
• Salt to taste.
For Tempering/ Tadka
• 2 tbsp of Ghee.
• 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
• Pinch of Asafoetida.
• 1 tbsp of Kashmiri Lal Mirch.
• 2-3 chopped cloves of Garlic.
• Green Coriander leaves for
Garnish.
Process📃
Firstly take a large bowl, wash & rinse the rice & daal for 4-5 times to remove the dirt, Soaked it for 30-40 Minutes, keep it Aside.
Now chopped the onion, Tomato and carrot.
Now take a pressure Cooker, Heat the desi Ghee, add cumin seeds and asafoetida, wait untill it start crackling.
Now add the chopped onions, carrot saute it low flame, after that add tomato,Saute it low flame for 2-4 Minutes.
When your veggies get soft, add the Indian spices mentioned above at low flame,until the spices turn aromatic.
Now add soaked rice and dal.
also, add water and mix well adjusting consistency as required.
cover and at high flame,wait for 2-3 Whistle. Turn off the flame, keep it aside.
For Tadka
Making tadka or tempering for make it for delicious and Tasty. It's optional fod you, but to enhance the flavour and taste, you must make the tadka.
Heat the desi Ghee in the tadka paan, add cumin seeds & asafoetida and Chopped Onions, saute it low flame untill it get aromatic.
Now off the flame, add the red Kashmiri lal Mirch. Now your tadka is ready.
Pour the tadka on the top of khichdi, for making it more tempting and Flavourful.
Your Masala Khichdi is ready to serve, paired it with Curd, green Chutney, papad or Pickle.
