Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Frown on a Clown. Hope you enjoy the story.
Sam is extremely upset today after attending a handing over meeting with his colleague Tim who will be heading over to Taiwan for a 2 months work assignment. As the company is now reducing hiring quota amid a fury effort of cost saving in today's uncertain tariff environment. Sam's boss has volunteered him to help cover Tim's duty for the coming 2 months.
Although Sam is unwilling to accept this responsibility but he do not pretty much have a choice as he is an experienced tenure worker with 15 years under his belt and the work Tim is doing now was once handled by Sam. Sam felt like a clown in the room.
As he is a supporting cast in Tim's current team, he was only expecting to "support" but to his surprise, he was given 9 of 11 Tim's current project to help follow up where else members in Tim's own team only got 2 of the 11 projects. This is a typically case of bullying whoever is here to support.
Sam is frowning with a clown makeup, he's wearing a mask right now, suppressing his anger and fire. A storm is brewing now in the Sam's mind. He knew exactly what he is going to do next.
