I don’t think he’s dumb. Some people genuinely don’t know the role they play in their child’s academic life. Either they are not educated themselves or something else but it’s good at least he’s sending his child to school and I’m sure now that he knows, he’ll do better.
Let’s not rush into conclusions when we don’t know all the whys🥰
