Hello lovely #hivecommunity 🤗

On Saturday, October 29th, the famous "Advent in Zagreb" officially began.
From 2016 to 2018, Advent in Zagreb was crowned “Best Christmas Market in Europe” by European Best Destinations — the only destination to win three years in a row. In 2017 alone it drew nearly 39 000 votes from over 130 countries, significantly boosting tourism and overnight stays. Fast-forward to today: global media giants like CNN have once again ranked Zagreb among the world’s best Christmas-market destinations for 2024 and 2025. And in 2023, travel platform Big 7 Travel placed it among Europe’s Top-25 Christmas markets.
A few years ago I worked as a market researcher and had to interview visitors. It was very crowded every weekend, but also during the weekdays. For this reason I visit Advent when I want (time when I can enjoy in the atmosphere 100%).
But..
This year I won tickets for ice skating at the "Ledeni Park" (Ice Park) and witnessed the madness again.
As I was walking to meeting point with @driipam I thought how it is not so busy this year.

Well.. I was wrong..

So, I was lucky winner who got chance to to skate at the opening of the Ice Park. But I don't know how to skate. 😂🙈
I even had ⛸️ as little girl but I've never stepped on ice except on the street (that wasn't pleasent experience 🤕)
Luckily, my best friend and rally sister is an experienced skater and a good teacher. 🤗🫂

So we got our skates (I got mine in the changing room) and we headed towards the ring.

Yeah, me on that ice surface 👀

It was weird and a bit scary and my friend didn't want me to just stand there like some plant so she decided to push me (thanks for the ride girl!).
I still didn't learn how to upload video Here but I Got some photos.

In the end, I decided to take a little walk to the main square and visited 2 more points.
Fuliranje (Fooling Around) – Strossmayer Square: This is the most famous gastronomic and entertainment hotspot. As the name suggests, it’s about "fooling around" in the best way! It features gourmet street food stalls led by top Croatian chefs, DJ sets, live music, and a vibrant, energetic atmosphere. It’s where foodies and party-goers gather.

Zagreb's Advent isn't just an old tradition—it’s a dynamic, relatively recent success story that shows how innovation and quality can make a destination a global must-see.
