RE: How about a Burn Club?

in #club3 days ago

I think the idea is quite interesting, but it seems to miss the main reason why people want to reduce the number of cards.

The real issue is the long synchronization time for large accounts, especially those with a huge number of cards. This problem is only getting worse since big accounts keep growing, and smaller accounts are also expanding. If I remember correctly, some of the top accounts mentioned that syncing their cards takes more than 4 days.

That’s why the purpose behind burning cards is to reduce the load on the servers—both for the game and for third-party services—and to speed up synchronization times.

This is why no one actually “wants” a blend. What they really want is a solution to this problem. People aren’t willing to lose their stats unless the blend gives them a 1:1 equivalent.

So, the core idea isn’t about burning cards or reducing their numbers. It’s about solving the synchronization issue. Burning and blending are just some of the ideas that have come up as possible solutions
