Hi community!

The Polish striker, who returned to action against Elche, assured in the lead-up to the Champions League match against Club Brugge that he feels 100% fit and wants to demonstrate his importance in the decisive stretch of the season.

Robert Lewandowski spoke with the composure of someone who knows he still has much to offer. In the press conference before the Champions League match against Club Brugge, the Polish striker acknowledged that this start to the season hasn't been easy, but he also made it clear that now is his time. “I feel good after the injury, physically very good. I already played with the team three days ago, and the most important thing now is how I can help us win,” he began, with a firm and optimistic tone.

The Pole reappeared last Sunday against Elche after missing three consecutive matches and asserted that, after a start marked by physical problems, the moment for his true breakthrough has arrived. “I've had two injuries at the beginning of this season, but I've been working very well in the last two weeks. Now I'm at a high level. In a way, my season starts now,” he confessed. “If we play as a team, we are dangerous and we can win titles. Based on my experience, I'm calm, and I know I can help the team.”

Lewandowski explained that managing his workload and working with the coaching staff have been key to regaining his best form. “I’ve missed a lot of minutes this season, and being with the national team helped me a lot. The plan I’ve followed has been specifically tailored to me. The coaches’ experience has shown me what the best approach is for me, and I’m very happy with the work we’ve done,” he explained. “I feel great, and I hope to be able to play at a high level until the end of the season. It doesn’t matter how you start the season; what matters is how you finish it.”

The striker insisted that his priority isn’t individual statistics, but rather the team’s performance. “If we’re talking numbers, I don’t know if I’ll be able to match last year’s figures because I’ve missed a lot of games due to injuries, but when I’m on the pitch, my average minutes and goals might be similar,” he reflected. At 37, Lewandowski is aware that his role is evolving, but his ambition remains undiminished: “At my age, I know I can’t play as much as before, but I’m fine. I train at a very high level, and if we play as a team, it’s much easier for the strikers. If we work hard, the results will come.”

After an inconsistent start, Robert faces the decisive stretch of the season with the conviction of someone who feels ready to be a game-changer once again. His message was clear and direct: his season, the real one, starts now.
