I have taken more pictures of this magnificent building of concrete and glass, but I want to draw attention to this one in particular. And it'd just because of that little square, rectangular window on the right with its little, like, stylized and isolated reflection on it. It stands quite unnaturally, a little magically and out of place, although perfectly natural according to all scientific laws.
Imagine if each mirror surface chose for itself who and what to reflect. There would surely be great chaos around, don't you think so? And yet, I think that's exactly what they do, the surfaces, I mean. Only we don't realize it. We don't want to see it, we refuse to look at it, because we imagine that we are the ones who are in control of things, we are conducting everything in the world and beyond, while we actually do nothing.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
