Good morning, warriors! It is past mid-week already. I hope the grinding is going well.

But always know this: win or lose, there is always something to learn, and that is awesome.

Quora Towershead is that gladiator every brawl fighter wants to have in their deck. She is so ruthless and formidable in brawls. If you don't take her out on time and she starts stacking heavily, you are in for real trouble.

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥.

Quora Towershead, the red-haired warrior is one of the most popular and dominant cards in Splinterlands, especially in Guild Brawls and Gladiator-focused formats. She is widely considered one of the strongest Gladius cards and often called "the most useful" or even "OP"(Overpowered) by the community.

Why She is So Sought After
Here is what makes her such a high-priority pick for many players' decks including my humble self.🤗

  • Dual Attacker (Melee + Magic): She deals damage with both melee and magic attacks (starts at 2 Melee / 2 Magic, goes up to 3 Melee / 2 Magic at max level). This versatility is huge — she can hit different targets effectively and performs well under rulesets like Wands Out, Melee Mayhem,or Back to Basics.

  • Bloodlust: Every time she kills an enemy, she gains +1 to all stats (attack, speed, health, etc.).In longer fights, she snowballs massively and becomes an absolute monster.

  • Heal: She restores a big chunk of her health (about 1/3 of max) every round. This makes her incredibly durable as a tank or frontline fighter.

  • Immunity (unlocked at level 3):She is protected from many negative status effects like Poison, making her strong in rulesets with lots of debuffs.

  • Dispel (higher levels): When she hits an enemy, she removes their positive buffs/status effects. This is excellent for countering enemy tanks or buffed units.

  • Solid Base Stats: High health (11–13), decent speed, and 10 mana cost that fits many lineups.

She is a self-sustaining tank/damage dealer who gets stronger as the battle goes on. In Guild Brawls (where Gladiator cards shine), she is a staple because she can carry teams, survive heavy pressure, and punish opponents who can't remove her quickly.

The Brawl Fight
In this fight, Quora’s immunity couldn’t save her from Poison because my summoner, Cryptic, granted both Expose and Poison to Tidal Tsunamist and Surgehammer. Expose removes immunity first, which lets Poison apply afterward and finish the job.ImgScr

The total mana cost was 26 and you are to choose units from fire,water earth and dragon elements.The ruleset are;

Beefcakes: You can only summon units with five or more health and
Equalizer: The initial health of all units is equal to that odf the unit on either team with the highest base health.

Round 1 ,the units on both sides.

Round 1,Scene 4, Blade was first to taste the poison venom.

Round 2, Scene 10, Blade took out my tank, but the poison was eaten away its health slowly.

Round 3,Scene 4,Blade taken out due to poison.

Round 7,the remaining monsters of my opponents were taken out as well,It was now Quora against my three monsters.

Round 9,She was finally hit with poison

Round 10, Scene 5, even with poison seriously eating her health away, she ws still able to take out another of my monster. Can you see her attack stats? Melee 4,Magic 4.

Round 10, Scene 6,Quora tried all means to hit back, but I had her where I wanted, she was poisoned already 🤢 and it was depleting her health slowly.

Round 11,the last drop of poison took her out without any direct hit from my two remaining monsters.Watch the replay

I specifically picked the Poison + Expose ability by Cryptic for this brawl — it was the right call against Quora.

A Quick Breakdown Of Why It Worked So Well:
Cryptic’s Poison + Expose is one of the strongest abilities for dealing with high-health, self-sustaining cards like Quora.
Expose strips her Immunity, allowing the Poison to land and keep ticking.
With both Tidal Tsunamist and Surgehammer applying it, the pressure was constant.
Even though Quora was healing every round and stacking Bloodlust, the consistent poison damage (2 per tick per source) combined with their attacks eventually outpaced her sustain.
This is a textbook way to beat her in the late game.
