Hello dear friends at @holos.lotus, greetings and blessings. I am writing to share my opinion after seeing the Post by my friend @emiliorios about being authentic, original, and unique.

I have always believed that each of us is unique and that we should always show who we are without imitating or trying to be like others. Whether in terms of physical appearance or personality, each of us has something that characterizes us and makes us special, which allows us to move forward in a different world, where everyone gives their best and makes us feel that we have an opportunity to move forward in a more positive way, with fewer complications and worries.

Since understanding and accepting who we are helps us to better focus on what we want, how to express ourselves, and how to achieve our goals, pretending to be something we are not or imitating others simply takes away valuable time that could be spent advancing toward what we truly should be. In a world where competing and making yourself known to achieve your goals plays a fundamental role, this can only be achieved by being original and seeking out our own virtues so that others can appreciate them.

No one is the same as anyone else; we all have something that helps and favors us, which is why I think comparing ourselves to others is something we shouldn't do, because each of us is authentic. No matter how much we want to copy someone else, it's not possible, or at least not entirely, so in life, there's no point in doing so. It is better to follow the path of who we really are. We do not have to be like others to be accepted, or follow what others do. The essence of each person is vital, and for that reason, we must follow what our heart dictates.

I remember always hearing people say, “You should be like her,” or “Why aren't you like that person?” Because everyone is simply who they are, and that has to do with how much you accept yourself and whether or not others accept you, but you can't be something you're simply not, because that's overshadowing yourself and living in someone else's shadow. The truth is that no matter how complicated it may seem or how wrong you feel being yourself is, it's all worth it. Being yourself is what makes the world take a different course and the precious opinions of others cease to make sense, and things flow better. Authenticity and originality come from knowing yourself and recognizing that we are what we are, that we can improve, yes, but that we are also unique.
