Today I come to bring you as a recommendation an old anime, hehe, I saw it a long time ago, of course, I did not see it in its premiere, because I was not even born yet, but it was more than 10 years ago, so I may leave loose details. I remembered about this story, because coincidentally they put an image on Youtube of animes of romance, history and all that, and among those, was Fushigi Yuugi, so it seemed a good time to remember animes of this style and that were of those that lasted more than 12 episodes.
Fushigi Yuugi (ふしぎ遊戯)…
Released in 1995, under the direction of Hajime Kamegaki and Pierrot animation studio. This story had a total of 52 episodes, plus 2 ovas, the first with 3 episodes and the second with a total of 6 episodes; this is a shojo, action, adventure, romance, reverse harem, dramatic comedy, science fiction and reverse isekai genre.
As for the plot…
It all begins when two high school students, Miaka Yuuki, our protagonist and her friend Yui Hongo, find a mysterious Chinese book in the forbidden room of the Library, entitled “The Universe of the Four Gods”; Yui reading it, are absorbed by it, being transported to a world set in imperial China. Both are attacked by a group of evil men and saved at the same time by a young man named Tamahome, who strangely has on his forehead Chinese characters that mean Ogre/demon and when he is fighting he lights up./div>
After this event, Yui is returned to the real world, while Miaka continues in this world, where she learns that she is the priestess of Suzaku, one of the 4 gods, in each kingdom there is one and each priestess comes from another place, like Miaka, an important point to understand for what happens later in the story; also her mission is to gather her seven stars, ie seven warriors (among them Tamahome is one of them) and thus achieve invoke the god and make three wishes. Finally, Yui back to the library can see everything that happens with Miaka, until she goes back inside, however, when she returns, unpleasant things happen to her that brings out feelings of revenge and resentment towards her friend.
Throughout the story, we are not only introduced to Miaka in her adventure to find those warriors and the struggle to recover her friend, but also the love with Tamahome and her maturing process throughout the plot, which will make the story much more dynamic and full of action.
Personal opinion
This story was entertaining at the time and I was very happy that it was finished, but, as I said at the beginning, as so much time passed, certain details escaped me, however, when I saw images and summary on the internet, I remembered something that annoyed me a lot and it was the attitude of the protagonist, although she has a noble heart and evolves, sometimes it made me despair, especially how she fought and returned with Tamahome, this relationship was already making my hair stand on end, make up your mind girl; Oh and also something that made me feel bad were Yui's actions and justifications to hate her friend, I mean I did feel bad for what happened when she returned to the world of imperial China, but then her actions to get a man that she knew that her heart didn't belong to her, seemed much more immature than the main character, who was already immature and by a lot.
Now, I don't like that the main character is always rescued, the amount of silly times she put herself in danger was incredible, she really doesn't have a development as marked as other protagonists; what I do find attractive is how they wrap the story, maybe now it must feel like a cliché plot, but it really has a little bit of everything and it doesn't feel like something too heavy or too poorly developed, it gives an extra point of good development to the scenario presented. As for the animation, it's good, from that era, very colorful and not as elaborate as others, simple action scenes, but striking.
Positive points…
-An attention-grabbing genre mix that doesn't feel heavy-handed.
-Despite being a back-and-forth relationship, the intense romance between Miaka and Tamahome is somehow beautiful.
-Characters that somehow connect with the audience.
-The theme of Chinese culture or other cultures are few we delve into the Japanese industry, so the fact that it addresses elements of this, is enriching.
Negative points…
-Predictable in some parts of the story and feels cliché.
-Some of the characters despair, especially Miaka's attitude at the beginning and that of her friend.
-The pacing is inconsistent, even though it is finished, it can be illogical in some plot elements.

Really because of the animation and that it was a long time ago that it was released, it may not be attractive to many, because there are anime with a shorter development and better animated, although it is grateful that this anime has finished, but let's be clear, one complains if it is short, missed more chapters to understand some things and if it is very long, it is boring, so I guess it depends on how hooked the story keeps your audience.

Hoy les vengo a traer como recomendación un anime viejito, jeje, lo vi hace mucho tiempo, claro, no lo vi en su estreno, porque ni siquiera había nacido todavía, pero si fue hace más de 10 años, por lo que puede que deje detalles sueltos. Recordé de esta historia, porque casualmente ponen una imagen en Youtube de animes de romance, historia y todo ello y entre esos, estaba Fushigi Yuugi, así que pareció un buen momento de recordar animes de este estilo y que eran de aquellos que duraban más de 12 episodios.
Fushigi Yuugi (ふしぎ遊戯)…
Estrenado para el año de 1995, bajo la dirección de Hajime Kamegaki y del estudio de animación Pierrot. En cuanto a la trama…
Todo comienza cuando dos estudiantes de secundaria, Miaka Yuuki, nuestra protagonista y su amiga Yui Hongo, se encuentra un misterioso libro chino en la sala prohibida de la Biblioteca, titulado como “El universo de los cuatros dioses”; Yui al leerlo, son absorbidas por el mismo, transportándose a un mundo ambientado en la China imperial. Ambas son atacadas por un grupo de hombres malos y salvadas al mismo tiempo por un joven llamado Tamahome, quién extrañamente tiene en la frente unos caracteres chinos que significan Ogro/demonio y que cuando está luchando se ilumina.
Tras ese suceso, Yui es devuelta al mundo real, mientras Miaka continua en este mundo, donde se entera que es la sacerdotisa de Suzaku, uno de los 4 dioses, en cada reino hay uno y cada sacerdotisa proviene de otro lugar, como Miaka, un punto importante a entender para lo que luego acontece en la historia; además su misión es reunir a sus sietes estrellas, es decir siete guerreros (entre ellos Tamahome es uno de ellos) y así lograr invocar al dios y pedir tres deseos. En fin, Yui de vuelta a la biblioteca puede ver todo lo que sucede con Miaka, hasta que vuelve a entrar, sin embargo, al volver, le pasa cosas desagradables que hace que salga a flote sentimientos de venganza y resentimiento hacia su amiga.
A lo largo de la historia, no solo nos van presentando a Miaka en su aventura de encontrar a esos guerreros y la lucha por recuperar a su amiga, también el amor con Tamahome y su proceso de madurez a lo largo de toda la trama, lo cual hará que la historia sea mucho más dinámica y llena de mucha acción.
Opinión personal
Esta historia se me hizo entretenida en su momento y me alegró mucho que la hayan finalizado, pero, como dije al inicio, al pasar tanto tiempo se me escapan ciertos detalles, no obstante, al ver imágenes y resumen en internet, recordé algo que me fastidiaba mucho y era la actitud de la protagonista, aunque si, tiene un corazón noble y evoluciona, en ocasiones me desesperaba, sobre todo el cómo peleaba y volvía con Tamahome, esta relación ya me estaba poniendo los pelos en punta, decídete chica; ah y también algo que me caí mal eran las acciones y justificaciones de Yui para odiar a su amiga, ósea si me dio cosa por lo que paso a su regreso a ese mundo de China imperial, pero va ya después sus acciones por obtener a un hombre que sabía que no su corazón no le pertenecía, me parecieron mucho más inmadura que la protagonista, que ya de por si esta lo era y por bastante.
Ahora bien, no me gusta que la protagonista sea siempre rescatada, la cantidad de tonta veces que se ponía en peligro era increíble, de verdad no tiene un desarrollo tan demarcado como otras protagonistas; lo que si me parece atractiva es como envuelven la historia, quizás ahorita se debe sentir como cliché la trama, pero realmente el que tenga de todo un poco y no se sienta como algo o muy pesado o muy mal desarrollado, le da un punto extra de buen desarrollo al escenario presentado. En cuanto a la animación, es bueno, de esa época, muy colorida y no tan elabora como otras, escenas de acción simple, pero llamativas.
Puntos positivos…
-Una mezcla de género que llama la atención y no se siente pesada.
-A pesar de ser una relación entre un vaivén y desesperante a veces, el intenso romance entre Miaka y Tamahome resulta hermosa de alguna forma.
-Personajes que de algún conectan con el público.
-El tema de la cultura china o de otras culturas son pocos profundizamos en la industria japoneses, así el que aborde elementos de esta, es enriquecedora.
Puntos negativos…
-Predecible en algunas partes de la historia y que siente cliché.
-Algunos de los personajes desespera, sobre todo la actitud de Miaka al inicio y la de su amiga.
-El ritmo es inconsistente, a pesar de haber finalizado, puede ser ilógicos en algunos elementos de la trama.

Realmente por la animación y que fue hace mucho tiempo que se estrenó, puede que no resulté atractiva para muchos, porque hay animes con un desarrollo más corto y mejor animados, aunque se agradece de que este anime haya terminado, pero vamos a estar claro, uno se queja de si es corto, faltó más capítulos para entender algunas cosas y si es muy largo, resulta aburrido, así que supongo que depende de que tan enganchado la historia mantenga a su público.
