This morning, I woke up to one of those rare kinds of weather,, the "just right" type...
Not too hot, not raining, just breezy enough to make you think, "Huh. Life’s not that bad." 😁
Usually, my mornings are kind of meh 😒...
I start work at 6 in the evening, which sounds great until you're just sitting around the house with absolutely nothing to do while the rest of the world is out there… doing stuff...
So today, I decided to also do stuff,, by taking a walk 😜
And wow
I didn’t walk into a garden. I didn’t go to a fancy park. I just walked down the road. You know, the normal road,, with cracked sidewalks, a few ants on patrol, and the occasional piece of mysterious trash (RIP to whoever dropped that unfinished bobba cup)
But then… I saw flowers 🌸🌼
🌱 Flower A: Little yellow guys — tiny, shy, and curled up like they’re still deciding whether to bloom or not. They're surrounded by clover-like leaves, which made me feel like maybe luck was literally growing at my feet.
💜 Flower B: A tiny purple swirl that looked like it was just waking up. If flowers had personalities, this one would be the introvert who RSVPs "maybe" to the party but shows up looking the best.
🌹 Flower C: And then, boom — I found these crazy red flowers that looked like velvet brains (not weird at all). The texture?? Unreal. Like they were made out of fabric. I touched one. (Sorry, Mother Nature.)
🌴 Flower D: I looked up and found a tree that’s basically a gymnast — twisting, turning, holding onto some orchids and other plants like it’s the circus. It gave jungle vibes… but, like, the calm kind. No tigers 😆
🌸 Flower E: Clean, white, five-petal perfection. It had little droplets of water on it.. I think this is called "chichirica" but I am not sure 😆
🌺 Flower F: (bougainvillea) 😁the only flower I know.. A bright pink flower that looked like it knew it was pretty. Seriously, this one had confidence. I felt like it would say, “Take a pic, babe. I don’t bloom for free.” I obliged.
I don’t know what some of them are called. Zero plant knowledge. But I love them anyway.
Something about walking, looking at flowers I can’t name, and taking pictures like I’m a budget National Geographic photographer made me realize: this was enough 😆
We don’t always need a grand plan for the day. Sometimes, walking down a regular road and admiring whatever is growing on the side is the therapy we didn’t know we needed.
Now I’m back home, looking at these photos, sipping my second cup of coffee, and trying to figure out what to eat before my shift starts.
Still don’t know what the flowers are called… but I guess I’ll name them myself.

Try taking a walk. Even if it’s just down your street. Nature doesn’t care if you’re wearing house slippers. It just shows up.
