"Hala Bira, Iloilo! Sulong sa pagbag-o"
Greetings to all hivers!!
A chilly morning to everyone βοΈ
I'm showing you today a miniature display of Dinagyang festival. I saw this display in a mall. I was so amazed by the tiny figures that look like little Moana. π

The vibrant display was in the middle of the hallway. People passing by won't miss it. Parents and children happily took photos of the display.
Red carpet was laid under the white pedestals. Spotlights were also on the floor to highlight the figures above. On the front row, there are miniature models of "Aetas" (Ati - indigenous people in the Philippines). At the back row are dioramas of different Dinagyang Tribes. Giving everyone a glimpse of what the dinagyang festival looks like.
This shows a "DINAGYANG" sign with Aeta models and a Sto. NiΓ±o figure.
Sto. NiΓ±o is the child Jesus. Dinagyang festival is Iloilo City's tribute to Sto. NiΓ±o.
"Viva SeΓ±or Santo NiΓ±o"

Tribu Paghidaet is one of the competing tribes during the festival. The performers are students from Lapaz National High School. They were the Dinagyang Festival 2025 tribe competition grand champion.

Here are the rest of the display.

I didn't celebrate this year's Dinagyang Festival but I was happy to at least saw some fragments of the fun. I could still remember when I was young, I really enjoyed this festival. The loud beats of the drum, the colorful costumes, and people shouting "Viva Senior Sto. NiΓ±o! Viva! Viva!".
I wish I could share more.
