Hello there everyone , so thank to my buddy @solumviz, i was just in time for the Holozing Creature Background Contest!
Thanks so much to the @holozing community and @acidyo for putting this contest together
and when i saw this i didn't just see this as a challenge, this is a really great opportunity , and a challenge, in a way, cause thats basically my job, being a background artist and i hope you like the background i used in background , cause guess what thats not even my style m, i was scrolling through, my works the other day and i counted about 13 different styles that ive used , in my works , and its just crazy that after all this years i haven't stil gotten my own style, yet its a blessing nbut a good curse at the same time, cause I'm able to blend into any form i want lol
Here's the behind the process below:
P.S
i forgot to hit record on my clip studio time lapse, as you can see in the image, I'm so sorry
but you ll definitely be getting the exclusive behind the scenes look at my desktop and my clip studio software, set up
i started off with the usual sketch and in my sketch i decided to use the u shape background lay out to sort of frame the whale in my shot ,and i also decided to use colored lines so they dont take your focus away from the whale.
As a professional background artist layering of the foreground and background is very important , cause it will be easy for other artist youll be working with or be sending it to be able to work with it, by either slotting i their characters anywhere in the scene or use it later in either animation or motion graphics
the full set up
without the blue whale
software: CLIPS STUDIO PAINT
Tools: Veikk tablet
Duration: under 2 hour, ... i had to finish it up quick the countdown was going as fast as hell
and I'm so sorry i forgot to click on the record button for the time-lapse ill make sure that does not not happen again
That will be all for now
Thanks so much for stopping by
Merry Christmas !
And ill see you another time.
