I hope you are all well. Today I’m here to tell you about my visit to one of the most famous supermarkets on Margarita Island: Nova.
Yesterday I went to university early because I had classes all morning until 11:30; after that, I stayed for a while chatting with my friends and then took the bus to my grandmother’s house, because in the afternoon I was going to go shopping at the Nova supermarket.
When I arrived, it was around 4 p.m. One thing I liked as soon as I arrived was that the supermarket windows had a picture of Miss Universe Venezuela, Stephany Abasali, promoting the Colgate brand. It’s a shame she didn’t win.
Then I went into the supermarket, which was moderately busy. I prefer it that way, so that when you go to pay, you don’t have to queue for so long or wait so long to pay. I like that supermarket because of how the products are laid out and it’s easy to find everything quickly, because sometimes it takes me a while to find the specific product I’m looking for.
Although I like the Río and Más x Menos supermarkets a little more, because the first one is bigger and has a wider variety of product brands, and the second one is closer to my house and I usually go there in the afternoons to shop.
But Nova is quite good in terms of quality and products, which is why, along with the two I mentioned above, they are among the most visited by people for grocery shopping. After a while, when the trolley was full, I had a bit of trouble pushing it, so much so that one of the workers there laughed with me about it.
In general, I went to do the shopping for the cupboard and the fridge, but I took the opportunity to buy a few things for myself to eat right away. And since I love ice cream, I bought myself a Ferrero Rocher white chocolate ice cream. The chocolate coating the ice cream was divine, but the chocolate ice cream itself wasn’t so great. It didn’t taste like creamy chocolate ice cream to me, but it was enjoyable enough because of the white chocolate coating that I didn’t mind.
After putting everything in the trolley, I proceeded to pay, but I ended up having to leave the products I had already paid for with the cashier because my mum asked me to go back and find some missing products. In total, I went back twice, carrying the items in my hands, with the cashier and my mum waiting. But it was quick because we were the only ones at that checkout. We finished paying for what I had brought and went home.
Overall, I think Nova is a very good supermarket, well-stocked, tidy, bright and clean. And especially in the afternoons, you can go there to shop or eat something in peace.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les vengo a hablar de mi visita a uno de los supermercados más conocidos de la isla de Margarita: Nova.
El día de ayer fui temprano a la universidad porque tenía clases toda la mañana hasta las 11:30; después de ahí me quedé un rato hablando con mis amigas y después tomé el autobús a la casa de mi abuela, porque en la tarde saldría a hacer unas compras en el supermercado Nova.
Cuando fui, eran aproximadamente las 4 de la tarde. Algo que me gustó apenas llegar es que en los vidrios del supermercado estaba la imagen de la Miss Universo Venezuela, Stephany Abasali, haciendo promoción a la marca Colgate; qué pena que no ganara.
Después entré al supermercado y este estaba medianamente lleno; lo prefiero así para que cuando uno vaya a pagar no tenga que hacer tanta cola ni quedarse tanto tiempo esperando para pagar. A mí me gusta ese supermercado por cómo están distribuidos sus productos y es fácil hallar todo rápido, pues a veces me pasa que entre tanto y tanto tardo un rato en buscar el producto en específico que busco.
Aunque me gustan un poco más los supermercados Río y Más x Menos, porque el primero se me hace más grande y con más variedad de marcas de los productos y el segundo porque está más cerca de mi casa y suelo ir en las tardes a comprar.
Pero Nova está bastante bien en cuanto a calidad y productos, por eso, junto con los 2 anteriores que mencioné, son de los más visitados por la gente para hacer mercado. Después de un rato, cuando el carrito se llenó, me costó un poco llevarlo, tanto que hasta uno de los trabajadores de ahí se echó a reír conmigo por ese hecho.
En general, yo iba a hacer las compras para la alacena y la nevera, pero aproveché para comprar unas cosas para yo comer de una vez. Y como a mí me encanta el helado, aproveché y me compré un helado de Ferrero Rocher de chocolate blanco. El chocolate que cubría el helado estaba divino, pero no tanto el helado que era de chocolate, pero a mí no me supo tanto a un helado cremoso de chocolate, pero estaba lo suficientemente disfrutable por su cobertura de chocolate blanco como para dejarlo pasar.
Después de tener todo en el carrito, se procedió a pagar, pero terminé teniendo que dejar los productos ya pagados con la cajera porque mi mamá me pidió devolverme para buscar unos productos que faltaban. En total, me devolví dos veces y cargando en mano las cosas, y la cajera y mi mamá esperando. Pero fue rápido porque éramos las únicas en esa caja. Terminamos de pagar lo que había traído y nos fuimos para la casa.
En general, Nova me parece un muy buen supermercado, muy bien abastecido, ordenado, iluminado y limpio. Y sobre todo en las tardes uno puede ir tranquilamente a comprar o a comer algo.
