Greetings everyone, I faced a great challenge about my Garden because last day a strong great floods happens here at the Province and my Garden near at the river was already affected and some parts of the place are burried by mud. Well, this will be a great challenge of me because I need to checked each of my vegetable plants and crops if it will still survived. I really hope that my vegetables will survived and can also replant. This morning I decided to went at my Garden near the river and ot only takes a few minutes before reaching the place. I was very shocked about the situations but Some of my vegetables are still grows and standing. There are some vegetables I've planted here washed out leaving the thick muddy place.
First, I checked my okra vegetables and I found out that the place were my Okra vegetables planted was reached by flood. Gladly those plants still at the place and can't washed out during the flood. Aside of that, it already bears lots of vegetables. It makes me happy and proud the time when I saw this vegetables and the organic fertilizers I applied is very effective.
My Chinese Kangkong leafy vegetables also affected by flood and the entire place is covered with mud. But still the plants are still at the place producing lots of young leaves. The best thing I did was to cultivate the soil again so the water can easily absorbed directly to the roots of the plants. The last time I've planted kangkong veggies was only a tubers but as many days has past it already produced lots of young leaves.
My Chilli pepper plants also grows very well despite of the floods happens here. Some of my Chilli pepper plants already produced lots of flowers and it indicates that it will produced lots of chilli by next day. Some of the leaves are also covered with mud and I carefully removed those dried mud so the leaves wont get heavy and falled down.
My bitter-gourd vegetables also produced lots of vines but sadly the bamboo frame was destroyed. I hurriedly asked my husband to get some bamboo branches so the plants can cling at the bamboo again. It needs to be so that the vegetables wont be withered or dry.
My Camote crops also affected by the flood but luckily it wont washed away because the roots are sticking to the ground. For now, my Camote crops are already grows stabled and the best thing I did is to removed those dry leaves and cultivate the soil so it will expand and grows very fast.
I was very surprised to see this big Patola vegetables here in my Garden. Luckily it does not affected and destroyed by the flood and in next week this will be perfect to harvest. My Husband made this bamboo frame so this vine plant can cling to the frame and can easily get those patola vegetables. It takes a few hours visiting to my Garden and gladly some of my plants are still survived and stabled.
Fish Drying Activity:
10 in the morning today and it was very intense heat, my husband and I were decided to dried some fish we've brought at the Supermarket. This is what villagers do, to dried some fish under the sun. We brought 1 Kilo of fish and half of it is what we dried today. It will be very perfect to dry in the intense heat of the sun.
My husband created this thing used to dry fish and a big basket called Nigo is also a perfect thing to put and dried the fish. We used it yesterday and we want to dry the fish todayso it will perfectly dried before cooking.
I placed the fish very carefully so it will fit in one place and I organized it. It takes a few minutes before finishing those arranging activities and after that my husband placed at the rooftop. This will be dried instantly because the rooftop is very hot. If this fish will dry, this will be very perfect to fried for our meals. Until next posts, have a nice day to all of us.
