I'm sure she long since forgave you, and mother in laws can be a tough relationship. It sounds like you got along well for most of the twenty years, but when we're young we tend to be immature and want it our way. I understand that one all too well! It's time to let that guilt go, it's in the past. It would be nice if we could travel back in time and change things, but sadly time in our sense only moves in one direction, forward...
