Christmas 🎄 is a language we all speak, but with different accents. To understand what Christmas is around the world, we must look beyond religion or commerce. It is celebrated all over the world with a spirit of unity and joy, but with unique traditions. Despite being a Christian holiday, Christmas is now celebrated in much of the world by non-Christians as well, as an occasion for reunion and reconciliation among family and close friends.

La Navidad 🎄 un idioma que todos hablamos, pero con diferentes acentos. Para entender qué es la Navidad en todo el mundo, debemos verla más allá de la religión o el comercio, es celebrada en todo el mundo con el espíritu de unión y alegría, pero con tradiciones únicas. A pesar de ser una fiesta cristiana, la Navidad es celebrada actualmente en gran parte del mundo también por no cristianos, como una ocasión de reencuentro y reconciliación entre familiares y amigos cercanos.

As we all know, Christmas is an annual holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, primarily celebrated on December 25th, except in the Russian Orthodox Church and other Eastern churches that follow the Julian calendar, where it is celebrated on January 7th. However, the true story of the origin of Christmas should not distance us from our personal and family beliefs. The essence of these holidays transcends history and resides in the spiritual realm.

Cómo todos sabemos la navidad es una fiesta anual que conmemora el nacimiento de Jesucristo y que se celebra principalmente el 25 de diciembre, excepto en la Iglesia ortodoxa rusa y otras iglesias orientales que se rigen por el calendario juliano, en las que se festeja el 7 de enero.
De todos modos, la verdadera historia del origen de la navidad no debe distanciarnos de nuestras creencias personales y familiares. Puesto que la esencia de estas fiestas trasciende lo histórico, y reside en lo espiritual.

In Latin America, the tradition is collective and vibrant. It's celebrated in the streets and with open doors; the reason is the unity of neighbors and families, the Novenas, and the dancing, where human warmth defies any adversity. In the United States and Europe, the tradition is a refuge. The decorated pine tree, the lights that conquer the darkness of winter, the turkey, and the figure of Santa Claus—the purpose is to protect the "Christmas spirit" and the wonder of childhood.
The winter solstice (in Nordic and Germanic countries) and the mystery of the Austrian Alps with the legend of Krampus are also significant.
Globally, Christmas isn't measured in miles or gifts, but in the act of returning home, sitting down at the table with loved ones, a reminder that, no matter where in the world we are, we all have a place to belong.

En Latinoamérica La tradición es colectiva y vibrante. Se celebra en la calle y con puertas abiertas; el motivo es la unión vecinal y familiar las Novenas y el baile, donde el calor humano desafía cualquier adversidad.
Estados Unidos y Europa la tradición es el refugio. El pino decorado, las luces que vencen la oscuridad del invierno, el pavo y la figura de Santa Claus donde el motivo es proteger el "espíritu navideño" y la ilusión de la infancia.
El solsticio de invierno en Países Nórdicos y Germánicos) y del misterio de los Alpes austríacos con la leyenda del Krampus.
A nivel global, la Navidad no se mide en kilómetros ni en regalos, sino en el acto de volver a casa, en sentarse a la mesa con los de siempre, un recordatorio de que, sin importar en qué parte del mundo estemos, todos tenemos un lugar al cual pertenecer.

It just may be worth your time to visit the Castle and come check us out. Unlike the 'Addams Family' shows, all of this is live, unrehearsed and not recorded before any audience. Funny things happen. Sad things happen. Smiles and tears get shared. Worries and hopes are passed around. Sometimes, we even eat #pizza, cake and ice cream. Sometimes, we watch movies. Sometimes, giant insects attack the microphones and we have to get out our silly swatters and smack 'em up so we have something to snack on because the popcorn got eaten already by little slugs that left slimy trails everywhere and made the sidewalks slippery so that the pancakes didn't get enough traction on our canoes to steer the spaceships. Exactly.
