Greetings, everyone. As every day, I am very happy to share with you how my day went. Today I won't talk about my plans for this weekend, not because I don't want to, but because I know I will have to work. And I want to tell you why.
This past week has been quite intense at Sunsol. Several projects have been launched that require attention and completion before December, when the facilities will be much busier due to the high season. Therefore, the team is focused on completing each task efficiently and in an organized manner.
In addition to the new projects we are executing, we remain committed to the usual services we perform together with the quality department. It is a constant responsibility that we take seriously, as it ensures the smooth operation of the spaces and the satisfaction of our guests.
Yesterday, for example, we visited Sunsol Ecoland to carry out the weekly chlorination of the main tank. This activity is part of our water maintenance and quality control protocol. Upon arriving at the hotel, the quality department team asked us to tour the facility to check some drinking water points. It is always important to ensure that everything is in optimal condition.
Mi saludo a todos. Como cada día, me alegra mucho poder compartir con ustedes cómo transcurrió mi jornada. Hoy no les hablaré de mis planes para este fin de semana, y no es por falta de ganas, sino porque tengo claro que me tocará trabajar. Y quiero contarles por qué.
Esta semana que recién culmina ha sido bastante intensa en la cadena Sunsol. Se han activado varios proyectos que requieren atención y finalización antes de que llegue diciembre, mes en el que las instalaciones estarán mucho más concurridas por la temporada alta. Por eso, el equipo está enfocado en cumplir con cada tarea de forma eficiente y organizada.
Además de los nuevos proyectos que estamos ejecutando, seguimos comprometidos con los servicios habituales que realizamos junto al departamento de calidad. Es una responsabilidad constante que asumimos con seriedad, ya que garantiza el buen funcionamiento de los espacios y la satisfacción de los huéspedes.
Ayer, por ejemplo, nos tocó visitar Sunsol Ecoland para realizar el clorado semanal del tanque principal. Esta actividad es parte de nuestro protocolo de mantenimiento y control de calidad del agua. Al llegar al hotel, el equipo del departamento de calidad nos solicitó hacer un recorrido por la instalación para verificar algunos puntos de agua potable. Siempre es importante asegurarse de que todo esté en óptimas condiciones.
I must admit that the place was truly beautiful. The weather was glorious, with bright sunshine illuminating every corner. Everything looked impeccable. The lagoon, where guests enjoy boat rides and water bikes, was so calm that the only sounds were birds singing and the rustling of vegetation moved by the breeze. That natural peace made me feel very good. It is one of the parts of the job that I enjoy the most: being able to explore different areas of the facility and connect with the beauty of the surroundings.
Les confieso que el lugar estaba realmente hermoso. El clima estaba radiante, con un sol brillante que iluminaba cada rincón. Todo lucía impecable. La laguna, donde los huéspedes disfrutan de paseos en bote y bicicleta acuática, estaba tan tranquila que lo único que se escuchaba era el canto de algunos pájaros y el susurro de la vegetación movida por la brisa. Esa paz natural me hizo sentir muy bien. Es una de las partes del trabajo que más disfruto: poder recorrer diferentes espacios de la instalación y conectar con la belleza del entorno.
The ping pong and paddle tennis area is now completely finished. Although no one was playing at the time, this is understandable. Even though these areas are covered, they are not air-conditioned, and the heat on the island can be really exhausting. Still, it is gratifying to see how the spaces are being completed and made ready for visitors to enjoy.
El área de pimpón y pádel ya está completamente terminada. Aunque no había nadie jugando en ese momento, es comprensible. A pesar de que estas zonas están techadas, no cuentan con climatización, y el calor en la isla puede ser realmente agotador. Aun así, es gratificante ver cómo los espacios se van completando y quedando listos para el disfrute de los visitantes.
After reviewing the points indicated, we headed to the main objective of the day: the two-million-liter elevated tank. On this occasion, we went up with two quality control staff members. Once at the top, we checked the digital scale to accurately calculate the amount of hypochlorite we needed to apply. This step is essential to ensure proper water disinfection.
Luego de revisar los puntos indicados, nos dirigimos al objetivo principal del día: el tanque elevado de dos millones de litros. En esta ocasión, subimos junto a dos colaboradoras del personal de calidad. Una vez arriba, verificamos la báscula digital para calcular con precisión la cantidad de hipoclorito que debíamos aplicar. Este paso es fundamental para garantizar la correcta desinfección del agua.
Once the chlorination and disinfection process was complete, I took the opportunity to take some photos of the surrounding landscape. The view from that height is breathtaking: you can see the hotel grounds, the tropical vegetation, and the clear sky that looked like a painting.
Finally, we settled our bills and left the facility with the satisfaction of having completed our tasks. It was a productive Thursday, full of work, but also pleasant moments that made it all worthwhile.
Al finalizar la cloración y desbacterización, aproveché para tomar algunas fotos del paisaje que nos rodeaba. La vista desde esa altura es impresionante: se puede apreciar la extensión del hotel, la vegetación tropical y el cielo despejado que parecía pintado.
Finalmente, realizamos nuestras facturas correspondientes y nos retiramos de la instalación con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con nuestras tareas. Fue un jueves productivo, lleno de trabajo, pero también de momentos agradables que hacen que todo valga la pena.
