Today, I want to share with you a little more about Solo, the smallest and naughtiest of the pack, for those of you who don't know him yet.
In previous posts, I've already told you about some of Solo's antics and, let me tell you, he still maintains his fame! Despite all our effort and patience, he still hasn't stopped being naughty, but we continue to work with him on discipline, which is a real challenge for him. However, every day we learn something new about his unique character.

Hoy, quiero compartirles un poco más acerca de Solo, el más pequeño y travieso de la manada, para aquellos que aún no lo conocen.
En publicaciones anteriores, ya les había contado algunas de las travesuras de Solo y, déjenme decirles, ¡él sigue manteniendo su fama! A pesar de todo nuestro esfuerzo y paciencia, aún no ha dejado de ser travieso, pero seguimos trabajando con él en la disciplina, que para él representa un verdadero desafío. Sin embargo, cada día aprendemos algo nuevo de su carácter único.
With Solo there is always a new story to tell. He is so active that he can't seem to sit still and, for that very reason, he is always in trouble. He often brings a smile to my face because he behaves like a small child who constantly needs to be guided and taught.
Last week, for example, while we were building a small footing for a wall at home, Solo showed up and, as expected, decided to participate. His footprints were marked in the fresh cement, as if he wanted to leave his personal stamp. But that wasn't all, as he ended up with his paws covered in cement, which triggered another of his adventures.
When my husband decided to bathe him to remove the cement from his paws, he didn't have time to warm the water, and Solo received his bath with running water. His reaction was immediate: he squealed as if he was being chased by a whole army, it seemed that instead of water they were pouring vinegar on him.
When I heard his outrage, I ran out thinking that something serious had happened, but both my husband and my son tried to explain to me, laughing, that they had only poured water on him. Still, Solito continued to squeal and, in the blink of an eye, managed to escape from the basin. Wet and in a complete panic, he ran to my room and hid under a chair. From there he looked at me with his eyes wide open, as if asking me to rescue him. I couldn't resist his gaze and wrapped him in a cloth until he managed to calm down and fall asleep.
Such is life with Solo, full of mischief and unexpected moments. But, little by little, he is learning.
Con Solo siempre hay una nueva anécdota que contar. Es tan activo que parece que no sabe estar quieto y, por esa misma razón, siempre está metido en algún lío. Muchas veces me saca una sonrisa porque se comporta como un niño pequeño al que constantemente hay que guiar y enseñar.
La semana pasada, por ejemplo, mientras en casa estábamos construyendo una pequeña zapata para un muro, apareció Solo y, como era de esperarse, decidió participar. Sus huellas quedaron marcadas en el cemento fresco, como si quisiera dejar su sello personal. Pero eso no fue todo, ya que terminó con sus patas cubiertas de cemento, lo que desencadenó otra de sus aventuras.
Cuando mi esposo decidió bañarlo para quitarle el cemento de las patas, no tuvo tiempo de tibiarle el agua, y Solo recibió su baño con agua corriente. Su reacción no se hizo esperar: chillaba como si estuviera siendo perseguido por todo un ejército, tal parecía que en vez de agua le estaban echando vinagre.
Al escuchar su escándalo, salí corriendo pensando que algo grave había ocurrido, pero tanto mi esposo como mi hijo trataban de explicarme entre risas que solo le habían echado agua. Aún así, Solito siguió chillando y, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, logró escaparse de la palangana. Mojado y en completo estado de pánico, corrió hacia mi habitación y se escondió bajo una silla. Desde allí me miraba con sus ojos bien abiertos, como si pidiera que lo rescatara. No pude resistir su mirada y lo envolví en un paño hasta que logró calmarse y quedarse dormido.
Así es la vida con Solo, llena de travesuras y momentos inesperados. Pero, poco a poco, va aprendiendo.
Now, for example, he waits patiently for me in the doorway when I come home and no longer tries to run away into the street when I open the door. Also, when he sees me, he doesn't get as desperate as he used to, although he always greets me with such joy that I can't resist playing with him for a while.
Ahora, por ejemplo, me espera pacientemente en el portal cuando llego a casa y ya no intenta escaparse hacia la calle al abrir la puerta. Además, al verme, no se pone tan desesperado como antes, aunque siempre me recibe con tanta alegría que no puedo resistirme a jugar con él un rato.
Previously he had a bad habit of biting shoes and flip-flops, but thanks to our perseverance, he now understands that this is wrong. Now he prefers to chew on his favorite toy, a change that fills us with pride.
Anteriormente tenía la mala costumbre de morder zapatos y chancletas, pero gracias a nuestra constancia, ahora entiende que eso está mal. Ahora prefiere morder su juguete favorito, un cambio que nos llena de orgullo.
With Solo, everything goes at a slower pace than with Frida and Coki, because he is quite stubborn, but every little achievement motivates us to keep going. For example, he knows not to get on the carpet, although sometimes, with his cunning, he tries to slide little by little. First he puts a paw, then his head, and when we least expect it, he is completely on it! However, we are confident that, with love and patience, Solito will become obedient.
Con Solo, todo va a un ritmo más lento que con Frida y Coki, porque es bastante terco, pero cada pequeño logro nos motiva a seguir. Por ejemplo, sabe que no debe subirse a la alfombra, aunque a veces, con su astucia, intenta deslizarse poco a poco. Primero pone una pata, luego la cabeza, y cuando menos lo esperamos, ¡está completamente sobre ella! Sin embargo, confiamos en que, con amor y paciencia, Solito llegará a ser obediente.
