Today I had a somewhat different start to the day. Early in the morning, I received a call from Sigo cpa. They informed me that a filter in the processing center was having problems, so we quickly organized everything to take care of the situation in the afternoon. So, as planned, we left for Sigo. My husband, always attentive and supportive, gave me a ride in the work van, which allowed me to relax a bit and enjoy the ride. I was fortunate to see some wonderful scenery as the sun began to set.

Hoy tuve un inicio de jornada algo diferente. Temprano en la mañana, recibí una llamada desde Sigo cpa. Me informaron que un filtro en el centro de elaboración estaba presentando problemas, por lo que organizamos todo rápidamente para atender la situación por la tarde. Así que, como estaba planeado, partimos rumbo a Sigo. Mi esposo, siempre atento y apoyándome, me llevó en la camioneta de trabajo, lo que me permitió relajarme un poco y disfrutar del camino. Tuve la fortuna de contemplar algunos paisajes maravillosos mientras el sol comenzaba a caer.
When we arrived at the site at exactly 4:00 p.m., we had to wait patiently for all the personnel to finish their activities and leave the area. The processing center was quiet and the air conditioning was starting to become cool. Once the staff left, we entered the area where the damaged filter was located.
My surprise was enormous when I saw the ingenious solution that the team had improvised to prevent the problem from completely disrupting operations. With great creativity, they had made a temporary fix that allowed work to continue without major setbacks. Such initiative and dedication filled me with joy.
Al llegar al lugar, exactamente a las 4:00 p.m., tuvimos que esperar pacientemente a que todo el personal culminara sus actividades y saliera del área. El centro de elaboración estaba tranquilo y el aire acondicionado comenzaba a tornarse fresco. Una vez que el personal se retiró, ingresamos al área donde se encontraba el filtro dañado.
Mi sorpresa fue enorme al ver la solución ingeniosa que el equipo había improvisado para evitar que el problema interrumpiera por completo las operaciones. Con mucha creatividad, habían hecho un arreglo temporal que permitía continuar trabajando sin grandes contratiempos. Esa iniciativa y dedicación me llenaron de alegría.
Although the filter charge was due to be changed within a week, due to the damage to the cover, we decided to perform a complete repair. We knew it was better to be safe and make sure everything worked optimally. We started by carefully removing the old charge, making sure the process was efficient, and the new ones were put in place.
Aunque la carga del filtro debía cambiarse en una semana, debido al daño en la tapa, decidimos realizar una reparación completa. Sabíamos que era mejor prevenir y garantizar que todo funcionara de manera óptima. Empezamos retirando la carga vieja con cuidado, asegurándonos de que el proceso fuera eficiente y se colocaron las nuevas.
Subsequently, we place the new cover with its respective union, leaving the filter completely ready for use.
Posteriormente, colocamos la nueva tapa con su respectiva unión, dejando el filtro completamente listo para su uso.
The last step was the backwash, a meticulous process to remove any internal dirt and for the loads to settle. We did not rest until the water came out completely clear, which gave us the assurance that we had done an excellent job.
El último paso era el retrolavado, un proceso meticuloso para eliminar cualquier suciedad interna y para que las cargas se acomodaran. No descansamos hasta que el agua salió completamente transparente, lo que nos dio la seguridad de haber hecho un excelente trabajo.
Time seemed to fly and by the time we finished, it was already 8:10 pm. At that moment we realized how hungry we were, the effort had left us exhausted but satisfied.
We decided to look for a place nearby to recover our energy before heading home. We ended up at Delia Bakery, located on the corner of Luis Castro Street and Las Flores Street, in the vibrant city of Porlamar, Nueva Esparta State, on our beloved Margarita Island.
El tiempo parecía volar y, cuando finalizamos, ya eran las 8:10 p.m. En ese momento nos dimos cuenta de cuánto hambre teníamos, el esfuerzo nos había dejado agotados pero satisfechos.
Decidimos buscar un lugar cercano para recuperar energías antes de regresar a casa. Terminamos en la panadería Delia Bakery, ubicada en la esquina de la calle Luis Castro y calle Las Flores, en la vibrante ciudad de Porlamar, estado Nueva Esparta, en nuestra querida Isla de Margarita.
This place, although small, is impeccably stocked and offers excellent quality products. Their fast and friendly service is a plus that is always appreciated. From traditional breads to personalized pizzas, Delia Bakery has options for all tastes.
We opted for a cheesecake, accompanied by a refreshing glass of soda. It was exactly what we needed after such a busy day.
Este lugar, aunque pequeño, está impecablemente surtido y ofrece productos de excelente calidad. Su atención rápida y amable es un plus que siempre se agradece. Desde panes tradicionales hasta pizzas personalizadas, Delia Bakery tiene opciones para todos los gustos.
Optamos por un pastel de queso, acompañado de un refrescante vaso de refresco. Era exactamente lo que necesitábamos después de un día tan movido.
I was happy because we had managed to accomplish our task efficiently and, besides, we had found a moment to enjoy something simple but comforting.
By the time we finished, it was late in the evening, so we decided to return home. Our hearts were full of satisfaction for a job well done.
