Mud season begins

Mountain

Pretty day in Vermont 🙂 Sun out and 43F this afternoon.

Outlet

The sun is bright enough to melt a little snow. The ice is still thick on the lake but this one spot by the outlet never freezes over.

Light snowfall

Last night we got a light snow fall that covered the branches of the trees again.

Mud season

I guess today is the official start of the mud season in Vermont 🙂 the fifth season as the locals like to say. Water is definitely running off the roads. Trucks are banned on many of the local unpaved roads. In theory... some ignore the signs and sometimes the signs disappear 😆

Tree

Not sure what type of tree this is but it holds its seed pods all winter.

Mountain from south

A little perspective for those of you that regularly read my posts. This is the view of Mount Moosalamoo I usually post. Its taken from the south end of the lake.

Dam

This view is from the west side of the lake looking across at Mount Moosalamoo. The face of the mountain I usually photography is the right end of the mountain. The taller part in the clouds.

Beautiful series of photos... the snow is starting to melt here too. Spring is almost here, although I'm sure winter hasn't had its final say yet 😀

!PIZZA

Thanks. Travelling today maybe warmer where I'm going but probably rain.

Yeah, we have 60's coming really soon and I have 2' high snowbanks. Mud season for sure!!!

We are definitely going to have some run off problems this year. I guess its better than last years drought.
