A small creek runs under the snow and is still flowing despite the long run of freezing weather we are having.
Cattails usually remain standing through the winter.
Covered with snow, you can see the seeds and fluff at the bottom of this cattail.
This pair are standing tall however in differing states of decay.
As the snow melts, it soaks the cottony fluff. The seeds are not floating away on the breeze anytime soon 😉
