Hi, friends!
Italian rally ace Andrea Mabellini make an advantage of knowing event from last year when he also drove it to make a gap between himself and 2nd placed Finn Roope Korhonen (who posted fastest time at qualifying stage yesterday). Just to remin you that Mabellini is in Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 while Korhonen drives Toyota Yaris Rally2 machinery. It is good that we have some rivalry after years of mostly Škoda domination and in the last two seasons, it was Hayden Paddon who won two ERC crowns behind a steering wheel of Hyundai i20 Rally2.
Lets be honest, European Rally Championship doesn't have quality of the World Rally Championship and that's normal. But in a days when it was called Intercontinental Rally Challenge, IRC was better then WRC with those screaming atmospheric S2000 engines.
M-Sport driver Jon Armstrong was really super strong todday until a puncture on penultimate stage of a day where he lost so much time that he went from ppdium place to 23rd overall. But in the last special stage of a day, he went strong again and finished 19th overall in Ford Fiesta Rally2 car.
Polish driver Miko Marczyk finished day in 4th place overall and Citroen ace Mads Ostberg finished 5th.
Tomorrow is last day of competition and anything can still happen. Let the best win - as always...
