It had been a while since I appeared in the community, and even longer since I brought a new fan art of one of my favorite characters, and one of those who have most often starred in my drawings. Yes, I am talking about Ocean Healer, the guardian of the ocean and also of the creatures that inhabit it. If we are ready, I will begin showing the drawing process and the story behind it. Let’s get started!
Hola amigos, hola comunidad de Holizng! Qué alegría regresar un nuevo día dibujando. Espero que estén teniendo un lindo día. Hacía un rato que no aparecía por la comunidad y mucho menos trayendo un nuevo fan art de uno de mis personajes favoritos y de los que más han sido protagonistas de mis dibujos. Sí, hablo de Ocean Healer, el guardián del océano y también de las criaturas que en él habitan. Si estamos listos, comenzaré mostrando el proceso de dibujo y la historia detrás. ¡Comenzamos!
As you can see, today I drew Ocean Healer, who got startled upon noticing a tiny crab in their hair. Maybe the little crab mistook the hair for ocean waves and wanted to swim in it.
Como ven, el día de hoy dibujé a Ocean Healer, que se ha asustado al ver que tiene un pequeñito cangrejito en su cabello. Quizás el cangrejito confundió su cabello con las olas del mar y quiso nadar en él.

I started with my sketch by drawing two circles, one will be Ocean Healer’s face and above it will be the circle that will be the body of our little crab.
Comencé con mi boceto haciendo dos círculos, uno será el rostro de Ocean Healer y encima estará el círculo que será el cuerpo de nuestro cangrejito.
Little by little I added details to the face such as eyes and nose, I used the reflection tool for the eyes so I got a symmetrical drawing, I also relied on some guides so that everything would be at the same level.
Poco a poco fui agregando detalles al rostro como ojos y nariz, usé la herramienta de reflejo para los ojos, así obtuve un dibujo simétrico. También me apoyé en algunas guías para que todo quedara al mismo nivel.
The next thing I drew were the ears and the typical clothing of the Healers, but I took the opportunity to refine some details, as I was not very convinced at the moment with the character’s mouth.
Lo siguiente que dibujé fueron las orejas y la ropa típica de los Healers, pero aproveché y afiné algunos detalles, no estaba muy convencido por el momento con la boca del personaje.
I ended up changing the character’s mouth, drawing their coral tiara and marine elements, and their spiky blue hair with one strand darker than the rest.
Terminé cambiando la boca del personaje, dibujando su tiara de coral y elementos marinos, y su cabello puntiagudo de color azul con un mechón del cabello más oscuro que los demás.
Drawing the little crab was very easy since I have drawn many, haha. Well, I simply improved the details and removed things and guides I was not happy with. With that, I finished my entire drawing and now comes the part of creating the lineart.
Dibujar el cangrejito fue muy sencillo ya que he dibujado muchos, jajaja. Bueno, simplemente mejoré los detalles y eliminé cosas y guías con las que no estaba feliz. Con eso ya terminé todo mi dibujo y viene la parte de la creación del lineart.
Little by little I was making the lineart of my drawing, I also added different values to the lines to create areas of different depth, as well as details made with the same line.
Poco a poco fui haciendo el lineart de mi dibujo, también agregué valores distintos a las líneas para crear zonas de distinta profundidad, así como detalles hechos con la misma línea.
I started coloring the Healer’s uniform.
Comencé coloreando el uniforme de Healer.
I also colored the skin, to which I added details such as small freckles and rosy cheeks.
También la piel, a la que le añadí detalles como pequeñas pecas y las mejillas sonrosadas.
I also colored their tongue and hair, using lights and shadows to create volume and texture.
También colorié su lengua y su cabello, utilizando luces y sombras para crear volúmenes y texturas.
With our Healer fully colored, it’s time for the other protagonist—the little crab, who will be red.
Con todo nuestro Healer coloreado, es el turno del otro protagonista: el pequeño cangrejito, que será de color rojo.
And with our little crab finished and detailed, we have completed our fan art. All that remains is to make the background for our character—it will be a simple marine-themed background, some ocean waves that I will create with a textured brush. I also share the character in PNG with a transparent background, which can be added to any design. I think it would look great as a sticker. And that’s it, a new fan art of the amazing Ocean Healer. Y con nuestro cangrejito listo y con los detalles, ya terminamos nuestro fan art. Solo queda hacer el fondo para nuestro personaje, será un fondo simple con temática marina, unas olas de mar que haré con un pincel texturizado. También les comparto el personaje en PNG sobre fondo transparente que se puede añadir a cualquier diseño. Creo que se vería genial como sticker. Y listo, un nuevo fan art del grandioso Ocean Healer.
